About

The Lucas Minor Band plays country music the way it sounds when nobody's trying to clean it up. No gloss, no click track, no Nashville sheen. Just a Telecaster or an acoustic out front and a band built to play the songs the way they were written. The roots run deeper than the label suggests. Out of Omaha, the band forms around Lucas's songwriting. Evan handles guitars and harmonies, Will moves between banjo, mandolin, and acoustic, and Dain holds down bass, a lineup with enough range to let a song breathe or kick up dust depending on what it needs. The writing lives in the country adjacent corners most people drive past: boomtowns and tent revivals, the plains and the people still out on them. Songs like "Boomtown Fairy Tale," "Tent Revival," "Cherry County," and "Slow Drown" read more like short stories than singles. They're plainspoken, and earned. A debut album is on the way. Until then, the Lucas Minor Band is best understood the way it's meant to be heard: in a room, played live, with nothing on tape to hide behind.
